St. Rose of Lima

Church of Santa Corona, Vicenza, Italy

As usual this saint is pictured wearing a Dominican habit and a garland of roses. In many other images she holds the Christ Child in her arm, but this one may be unique in encircling the child with a wreath of roses.

This is one of a collection of statues of Dominican saints in a small chapel off the sacristy at Santa Corona.
